About Trim System
Share
Every Pitch Components trim system is the result of years of engineering, testing and continuous refinement. Each component is CNC-machined with carefully optimised geometry to achieve the ideal balance of strength, weight, durability and efficiency.
While every trim system shares the same engineering philosophy, each series is designed to achieve a different riding characteristic. Rather than adding features for the sake of complexity, every design decision serves a specific purpose—whether that's improving stability, increasing responsiveness or allowing complete tuning of the power delivery.

Engineering Philosophy
Every trim system is designed around one objective:
Transfer as much of the engine's available power to the water as efficiently and predictably as possible.
That means minimising hydraulic losses, reducing unnecessary friction, optimising water flow and ensuring every component works together as a complete system. The result is a trim that feels direct, consistent and confidence-inspiring on the water.
The difference between the Freeride, Freestyle and Ultra Series is not simply the number of features—they each prioritise different aspects of performance to suit different riding styles.
Precision Manufacturing
Every major component is CNC-machined from high-quality aluminium with extremely tight manufacturing tolerances. Accurate machining ensures that moving parts operate smoothly, components fit consistently and water flows through the system exactly as intended.
This precision not only improves durability but also reduces mechanical losses throughout the trim system, contributing to more efficient power transfer and a more consistent riding experience.
Water Flow Management
Managing water flow is just as important as directing thrust.
The Freestyle and Ultra Series feature our proprietary moulded Flow Guard, developed to control water movement around the nozzle while trimming and steering.
Its carefully developed geometry helps reduce water blowback and maintain a smoother, more stable flow path under load. This improves steering response, delivers more direct rider feedback and contributes to a highly responsive feel during technical riding.
The Freeride Series intentionally does not use a Flow Guard. Instead, it prioritises a smoother, more forgiving ride with predictable handling across varying water conditions. This reflects the different design philosophy of the Freeride platform, where stability and confidence take priority over maximum responsiveness.
The Ultra Series takes this concept even further with its Ultra Fitted Flow Guard. By reducing material and minimising flow disturbance, it offers an even more direct connection between rider input and the behaviour of the ski, making it the most responsive trim platform in the range.
A Platform Designed for Different Riders
Although every Pitch Components trim system is built around the same engineering principles, each platform has been developed for a different purpose.
Freeride focuses on confidence, stability and predictable handling across varied riding conditions.
Freestyle prioritises responsiveness, efficient power delivery and controlled precision for everyday freestyle riding.
Ultra is our most advanced platform, combining reduced hydraulic losses, lower mechanical friction and complete adjustability to maximise engine-to-water power transfer while allowing the trim system to be tuned for individual engines, hulls, riding styles and conditions.
The result is not simply a higher-performance trim, but a platform that can be optimised for each individual rider.
